Dear Colleagues,

Please find below information on both the 2024 Post Congress and the Pre-Congress Coach/Walking Tour. Complete information, virtual presentations and Registration Forms can be found here on the MSA website.

POST TOUR SATURDAY JUNE 1 TO
WEDNESDAY JUNE 5, 2024

TOUR WILL START IN VALENCIA AND
END IN MADRID

The 2024 post tour will leave Valencia Saturday morning, June 1, and journey to historic Toledo where we will spend the evening and following morning seeing the many sites of that beautiful and historical monument.

The following afternoon, Sunday June 2, we journey to Chinchon and overnight in the Posada that is built into a 16th century convent.

Monday morning June 3, we leave Chinchon for El Escorial built between 1563 and 1584 by King Phillip II. The largest Renaissance building in the world, it functions as a monastery, royal palace, and burial site for Spanish monarchs.

In the afternoon we make the short trip to the Mercure Central Hotel in Madrid to overnight Monday June 3 and Tuesday June 4. The hotel is in The Museum Triangle a half a mile from the Del Prado. After arrival you can join Louise and me for a walking tour to visit some of Madrid’s famous sites like the Plaza Major or venture out on your own. Tuesday will be a free day providing the opportunity to visit some of Madrid’s famous museums like the Del Prado.

At noon check out on Wednesday June 5, the tour officially ends. Our hotel is only a 20-minute ride to Madrid Airport. For those who wish to spend an extra day or two in Madrid we can arrange to extend your stay at the Mercure Central. I have only reserved 14 hotel rooms, so tour capacity is limited. Tour Registration forms and a visual tour presentation can be found here on the MSA website’s homepage.

PRE CONGRESS-COACH/WALKING TOUR OF VALENCIA

TUESDAY, 28 MAY, 9:30am to 12:30pm

Since Valencia is the third largest city in Spain with a population of nearly 850,000, it is impossible to conduct the traditional walking tour. Consequently, we have chartered a coach and with the help of our Congress President, Miguel Martínez López we have organized a combination walking/ coach tour that will provide the opportunity to see the very best of Valencia.

Looking forward to seeing you in Valencia,

Benjamin Taggie
